Personal cleanliness — Inspector Note: Observed multiple food employees with jewelry on (including bracelets and watch) while handling or prepping food. C/A: Except for a plain ring such as a wedding band food employees may not wear jewelry including medical information jewelry on their arms and hands while preparing food. COS: PIC instructed employees to take off jewelry.

Management knowledge, responsibilities, reporting — Inspector Note: PIC could not provide, in a verifiable manner, that employees are to report certain symptoms and illnesses as they are applicable to the facility. PIC could not state the 5 symptoms employees are to report. PIC could not provide the 6 illnesses they are to report to the health authority if the employee is diagnosed. C/A: Food employees and conditional employees are informed in a verifiable manner of their responsibility to report in accordance with the Chapter, to the person in charge, information about their health and activities as they relate to diseases that are transmissible through food. COS: EHS provided a copy of the employee health policy and went over it with the PIC.
