Washing fruits and vegetables — Inspector Note: Observed apples wrapped near front desk. A sink for washing fruits and vegetables not provided. C/A: RAW FRUITS & VEGETABLES SHALL BE THOROUGHLY WASHED IN WATER, IN A SINK DESIGNATED FOR THAT PURPOSE ONLY, TO REMOVE SOIL & OTHER CONTAMINANTS BEFORE BEING OFFERED FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION IN READ TO-EAT-FORM Facility not permitted continue to serve apples that require washing to the public as noted on the previous inspection report. Operator stated apples are washed at the 3 compartment sink, which is not permitted and out of compliance. Recommended to serve bananas or install produce sink. FAILURE TO COMPLY MAY RESULTIN FURTHER DISPLINARY ACTION.
