Insects, rodents, and animals not present — Inspector Note: Outer openings of establishment cannot be properly sealed when not in operation. Observation: Observed visible daylight at the back entry door when tightly closed, indicating a gap that may allow pest entry. Corrective action: instructed person in charge to repair or seal the door to eliminate the gap bother openings must be protected against the entry of insects and rodents

Proper eating, tasting, drinking, or tobacco use — Inspector Note: Observed two employees eating in the main kitchen near food being prep at the time of inspection. CA: Employees shall consume food only in approved designated areas separate from food preparation and serving areas, equipment or utensil areas and food storage areas. However, drinking from a single service beverage cup with a secure lid and straw that is handled to prevent contamination of the employee’s hands, the container, exposed food, clean equipment, utensils and linens, unwrapped single-service and single-use articles will be allowed. COS- employees left main kitchen and voluntarily discard food.

Adequate handwashing facilities supplied & accessible — Inspector Note: Handwashing sink used for purposes other than handwashing. Observation: Observed a tube discharging wastewater from the ceiling directly into the main kitchen handwashing sink, rendering it unusable for proper handwashing. Corrective Action: Informed person in charge that handwashing sinks must be used only for handwashing and kept accessible at all times. The discharge tube must be rerouted, and the sink restored to its intended use immediately.

COS- pic removed food and cleaned hand sink.

Observed raw chicken stored directly next to RTE vegetables with the raw chicken and vegetables stored directly above raw salmon in prep top cooler. Observed raw chicken wings stored directly next to a bag raw beef with the raw beef stored directly on top of a bag of grounded raw chicken. Observed raw eggs stored directly next to RTE peanut sauce and carrots. Observed bag of raw chicken stored directly next to a bag or raw beef directly next to raw fish with all three raw animals foods stored in the same container in WIC. CA: Raw animal foods shall be stored according to the internal cooking temperatures. Raw animal foods shall never be stored directly next to RTE foods. COS- education provided and PIC rearrange all food items properly
