Item 15A Good Retail Practice

Food and nonfood-contact surfaces cleanable, properly designed, constructed, and used — Inspector Note: CA: Equipment shall be maintained in a state of repair and condition that meets the requirements specified under subsections (1) and (2)of this Rule. OBSERVATION: Water is pool inside of the prep top cooler. Operator indicates that a service request is in for repairs.

Food and nonfood-contact surfaces cleanable, properly designed, constructed, and used — Inspector Note: CA: General Requirements. Utensils and food-contact surfaces of equipment shall be made of materials that do not allow the migration of deleterious substances or impart colors, odors, or tastes to food and under normal use conditions, and shall be: P safe P, durable, corrosion-resistant, and nonabsorbent. In addition, materials shall be sufficient in weight and thickness to withstand repeated warewashing and shall be finished to have a smooth, easily cleanable surface. Materials shall be resistant to pitting, chipping, crazing, scratching, scoring, distortion and decomposition. OBSERVATION: Foil lining several shelves in the facility including cooking equipment. Discussed with the PIC to remove foil and to ensure that the shelves and other surfaces are clean and in good condition.

Nonfood-contact surfaces clean — Inspector Note: CA: 3. Nonfood-contact surfaces of equipment shall be kept free of an accumulation of dust, dirt, food residue, and other debris. OBSERVATION: two top handles of the pizza oven, lid & interior of the ice machine (not in contact with ice) unclean to sight and touch. COS-cleaned and sanitized during the inspection.

Physical facilities installed, maintained, and clean — Inspector Note: CA: (5) Maintenance and Operation. (a) Good Repair. All physical facilities shall be maintained in good repair. (b) Cleaning, Frequency and Restrictions. 1. The physical facilities shall be cleaned as often as necessary to keep them clean and by methods that prevent contamination of food products. OBSERVATION: some floor tiles have cracks, a hole is observed near the door.

OBSERVATION: Observed some old droppings in the storage area. COS- cleaned and sanitized surfaces. Observed pest control document from 9-15-25 and last 3 months=Peachtree Pest Control. Discussed with the PIC to ensure that the PCO is noting if pests or evidence of pests are seen.
