1 recorded inspectionPersonal cleanliness — Inspector Note: Observed PIC working with unsecure ponytail. Observed one loose strand of hair on top of freezer 1, not touching any food. CA: 1. Employees preparing or handling food shall use effective and clean, disposable or easily cleanable nets or other hair restraints approved by the Health Authority, worn properly to restrain loose hair including beards and mustaches longer than one half inch. PIC put hair in a neat bun.
Posted: Permit/Inspection/Choking Poster/Handwashing — Inspector Note: Observed previous inspection score of 93 (A) posted in display on wall during time of inspection when the most recent inspection score was a 79 (C). When asked about the previous inspection print out, PIC pulled inspection from behind the waffle maker. Inspector inquired of why the most recent score was not posted in the display where the 93(A), PIC stated that it "was not a happy score". CA: 1. The most current inspection report shall be prominently displayed in public view at all times, within fifteen feet of the front or primary public door and between five feet and seven feet from the floor and in an area where it can be read at a distance of one foot away. COS: PIC placed score given from this inspection in the display in public view.
Physical facilities installed, maintained, and clean — Inspector Note: Observed floors in front and main kitchen unclean to sight with build up of food debris. CA: 1. The physical facilities shall be cleaned as often as necessary to keep them clean and by methods that prevent contamination of food products. Discussed with PIC that cleaning must be done during down time or closing.
Insects, rodents, and animals not present — Inspector Note: Observed 3 live German roaches in main kitchen and 2 dead German roaches in facility. Observed rodent droppings on dry storage in the main kitchen. CA: Pests should be controlled by: 2. Routinely inspecting the premises for evidence of pests; 3. Using methods, if pests are found, such as trapping devices or other means of pest control as specified under subsections (6)(e), (6)(m), and (6)(n) of this Rule; Pf and 4. Eliminating harborage conditions PIC stated that she does not have a company for pest control. Discussed with PIC that she must contact a pest control company to eliminate pests activity. Discussed with PIC that she must clear out clutter in dry storage area. PIC scheduled a treatment with pest control.
Food-contact surfaces: cleaned & sanitized — Inspector Note: Observed dried ice cream on utensils that were supposedly clean (stacked high in the sanitization compartment of the three compartment sink). Observed dipper well with in use utensils inside unclean. Observed no sanitizer made in the facility to test. CA: 1. Equipment food-contact surfaces and utensils shall be clean to sight and touch. Pf. Discussed with PIC that cleaning must be done during down time or closed hours. COS: PIC cleaned out dipper well with sanitizer solution. PIC is the only employee working and begun cleaning whipped cream off of utensils in the sanitizer compartment in the three compartment sink. Sanitizer bucket was made to 100ppm
