Proper eating, tasting, drinking, or tobacco use — Inspector Note: Observed employee drinking beverage in main kitchen area. CA advised PIC employee may only drink in designated employee area away from food. 2. Employees shall consume food only in approved designated areas separate from food preparation and serving areas, equipment or utensil areas and food storage areas. However, drinking from a single service beverage cup with a secure lid and straw that is handled to prevent contamination of the employee’s hands, the container, exposed food, clean equipment, utensils and linens, unwrapped single-service and single-use articles will be allowed.

Posted: Permit/Inspection/Choking Poster/Handwashing — Inspector Note: Observed failure to post current food permit. Post the permit in a location in the food service establishment that is conspicuous to consumers. Advised PIC to post for viewing by consumers.

Insects, rodents, and animals not present — Inspector Note: Observed a presence of gnats in the back kitchen area, PIC was unable to produce recent pest control service. CA: PIC was advised to have the establishment serviced for pest. PIC was unable to produce recent pest control service

Food-contact surfaces: cleaned & sanitized — Inspector Note: Observed the white deflector plate of the ice machine in need of cleaning as there was a presence of black matter on it. Equipment food-contact surfaces and utensils shall be clean to sight and touch. CA- PIC was advised to have the ice discarded and so that the unite is properly cleaned.
